LA 22: Near I-10 Geometric Improvement, Lane Closure, Ascension Parish

Construction for State Project H.011314 LA 22 in Ascension Parish for a length of 1.217 miles. The type of work required is clearing and grubbing, subgrade treatment, drainage structures, milling asphalt pavement, pavement patching, asphalt concrete pavement, portland cement concrete pavement, concrete walks and drives, dilled shaft foundations, traffic signalization, and related work.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists of upcoming road closure and traffic shift. Beginning January 6, 2020 motorists will not be allowed to turn left onto LA 22 from LA 70. Motorist will be forced to go right on LA 22 from LA 70. All traffic will be moved to the newly constructed outside lanes along LA 22. Motorists traveling east along LA 22 will have to come to a stop at the intersection of LA 22/LA 70.

This traffic shift is necessary to begin removal of roadway in preparation for constructing the roundabout.

No oversized loads will be allowed through the construction zone.
