I-10 Westbound between MM 104 (Vermillion River) to MM 105 (Sawmill Road Overpass), Lafayette Parish
Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at 2:58:35 PM
The right lane of I-10 westbound between mile marker 104 (Vermillion River) to mile marker 105 (Sawmill Road Overpass) will be closed Wednesday, November 20, from 8:00 p.m. to Thursday, November 21, at 6:00 a.m., weather permitting.

This closure is necessary to repair a damaged crash attenuator.

The alternate route for traffic is US 190 to I-49 back to I-10 WB. Emergency vehicles will not be able to pass through this lane closure because there is no shoulder on either side of the roadway. No detour.

The $124.7 million I-10 widening project will involve widening a 7.11-mile section from I-49 to Breaux Bridge (State Project Number H.003003). The project will include pavement replacement within the existing lanes and the construction of one additional lane in each direction along I-10 from I-49 to LA 328 (Breaux Bridge).

The project began in May 2017 and is estimated for completion in April 2020.
