LA 44 Turn Lanes, Intermittent Lane Closures, Ascension Parish

Construction has begun for State Project H.009956 LA 44: Turn Lanes is in Ascension Parish for a length of 1.235 miles. The type of work is clearing and grubbing, grading, drainage structures, milling asphalt pavement, pavement patching, class II base course, lime treatment, portland cement concrete pavement, asphalt concrete pavement, drilled shaft foundations, traffic signalization, and related work at a cost of $3,501,304.95.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that at intersection LA 44/LA 931 there will be intermittent lane closures beginning November 18, 2019 – November 22, 2019 between the hours of 9:00am – 2:00pm. These closures are necessary in order for the contractor to haul in base course in preparation for asphalt paving on LA 44/Germany Rd./LA 931. Flaggers and appropriate signage will be onsite in order to facilitate and direct traffic.

There will also be intermittent lane closures beginning November 18, 2019 – November 22, 2019 between the hours of 9:00am – 2:00pm at LA 44/LA 621 & LA 44/LA 935 while signal crews work on installation of mast arms.
