LA 44 & LA 931 Intermittent Lane Closures

Construction has begun for State Project H.009956 LA 44: Turn Lanes is in Ascension Parish for a length of 1.235 miles. The type of work is clearing and grubbing, grading, drainage structures, milling asphalt pavement, pavement patching, class II base course, lime treatment, portland cement concrete pavement, asphalt concrete pavement, drilled shaft foundations, traffic signalization, and related work at a cost of $3,501,304.95.
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that there will be intermittent lane closures October 29, 2019 between the hours of 9:00am – 2:00pm. These closures are necessary in order for the contractor to do a full depth patch in the center of LA 931 near LA 44 intersection. Traffic approaching LA 44 from LA 931 will be detoured onto a stone road to turn right on LA 44. Motorists will be allowed to go through the intersection and take left onto LA 44. Flaggers and appropriate signage will be onsite in order to facilitate and direct traffic.
