SPN H.000492:  US 190 (I-12 to LA 22)

UPDATE

There will be alternating, intermittent lane closures of the inside (left) or the outside (right) lanes of Eastbound and Westbound US 190 from I-12 (mile post 248) to LA 22 (mile post 250) on Sunday, December 22, 2013.  No work will be done between Monday, December 23 and Wednesday, December 25, but will begin again on Thursday, December 26 through Sunday, December 29, 2013 while construction crews install asphalt guardrail pads on Eastbound and Westbound US 190.  The contractor may work nightly between 8:00 PM and 6:00 AM (weather permitting).

There will also be intermittent closures of US 190 Westbound Ramps to I-12 Eastbound and I-12 Westbound on the nights of Saturday, December 28 and Sunday, December 29 while crews erect the overhead sign trusses.  Expect short delays. 

One lane of traffic in each direction will remain open at all times. 

Permit/Detour Section

By law, oversized loads are not allowed to travel at night.  Emergency vehicles will have access.

During the nightly construction, eastbound motorists may take I-12 to LA 59, South on LA 59 to US 190 East and westbound motorists may take LA 59 to I-12, West on I-12 to US 190 West.

During the Westbound Ramp Closures, motorists may continue on US 190 Westbound, travel under the expressway to the first traffic light.  Make a U-turn and proceed to the I-12 Entrance Ramp for either Eastbound or Westbound I-12.
