I-10 Eastbound between Mile Markers 104 (Vermilion River) and 105 (Sawmill Road Overpass), Lafayette Parish – Lane Closure
Thursday, October 17, 2019 at 1:31:29 PM
I-10 eastbound between mile marker 104 (Vermillion River) and mile marker 105 (Sawmill Road Overpass), the right lane will be closed beginning Friday, October 18, at 8:00 p.m. until Saturday, October 19, at 6:00 a.m., weather permitting.

This closure is necessary to repair a damaged crash attenuator.

The alternate route for traffic is I-49 to US 190 back to I-10 EB. Emergency vehicles will not be able to pass through this lane closure because there is no shoulder on either side of the roadway. No detour.

The $124.7 million I-10 widening project will involve widening a 7.11-mile section from I-49 to Breaux Bridge (State Project Number H.003003). The project will include pavement replacement within the existing lanes and the construction of one additional lane in each direction along I-10 from I-49 to LA 328 (Breaux Bridge).

The project began in May 2017 and is estimated for completion in April 2020.
