The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises the public that, weather permitting, on Monday, October 7, 2019 road construction work will begin on LA 451 between LA 114 and Pete Laborde Road.
This 11.6 mile long road construction project will consists of cross drains, milling asphalt pavement, pavement patching, curve widening, asphalt concrete pavement, and related work.
This contract was awarded to the low bidder, Diamond B Construction Company, L.L.C in the amount of $4,449,110.97.
Permit/Detour Section
No wide loads will be allowed beginning October 7th, 2019. The roadway will be open to traffic; however, there will be lane closures. There will be 3 road closures for cross drain work that will be addressed by subsequent press releases.
