UPDATE: This closure has been extended to include Friday, September 20 at 11:00 p.m. until Saturday, September 21 at 2:00 a.m., weather permitting.
The Off Ramp of I-10 westbound to I-49 northbound in Lafayette Parish will be closed on Thursday, September 19 at 11:00 p.m. until Friday, September 20 at 2:00 a.m., weather permitting.

This closure is necessary to allow the contractor to prepare for the I-10 westbound traffic swap.

The detour for I-10 westbound traffic attempting to get off at I-49 northbound will be through the I-49/I-10 cloverleaf ramps.

Emergency vehicles will not be able to pass through this ramp closure.

The $124.7 million I-10 widening project will involve widening a 7.11-mile section from I-49 to Breaux Bridge (State Project Number H.003003). The project will include pavement replacement within the existing lanes and the construction of one additional lane in each direction along I-10 from I-49 to LA 328 (Breaux Bridge).

The project began in May 2017 and is estimated for completion in April 2020.
