LA 641 (ST. JAMES PARISH) RAILROAD CROSSING CLOSURE

LA 641 (ST. JAMES PARISH) – A railroad crossing closure will take place on LA 641/LA 3213 starting on Friday, September 20, 2019 at 7:00 PM through Monday, September 23, 2019 at 4:00 AM. The closure location is at the KCS Railroad crossing on the four-lane portion of LA 641 between US 61 and LA 3125 (located 0.1 miles south of US 61).
No thru traffic will be allowed to pass during this railroad crossing closure.
The closure is needed for the railroad crossing pads to be replaced.
A signed detour route will be as follows: Motorists traveling Southbound should take US 61 north to LA 3274 (Airline Ave.) then south to LA 3125 then east to LA 3213. Northbound travelers should take LA 3125 west to LA 3274 (Airline Ave.) then north to US 61 then south to LA 641.
