Terrebonne Parish-La 57 Dulac Swing Span Bridge

The Dulac Swing Span Bridge on LA 57 crossing Bayou Dulac in Dulac, LA will be closed to vehicular traffic, intermittently, from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. from Monday September 9, 2019 to Wednesday September 11, 2019. These intermittent closures are required in order to allow consulting engineering personnel, contracted by the Department, to conduct load testing on the bridge structure. The closures will be limited to 15 – 20 minute durations during the aforementioned time periods.
No width restrictions for permitted loads will be necessary for the duration of the on-site work during the aforementioned time period.
Outside of the above designated times, the bridge will be under normal operation.
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
