The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, (DOTD), advises the public that beginning Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at 7:00 am, weather permitting, I-49 Service Roads North of Alexandria (Old Boyce Highway at LA 498, Polk Street at River Road, and Shuler Road at River Road) will have daytime alternating lane closures to allow for construction work. This work will consist of Milling Asphalt Pavement, Pavement Patching, Asphalt Concrete Overlay, and Related Work. The lane closures can be expected to last until the end of October 2019.

Permit/Detour Section
There are no detours at this time associated with these lane closures.
NOTE: There will be a no width restriction associated with these lane closures.

All construction activity is weather dependent and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. DOTD appreciates the motoring public’s patience and reminds drivers to please exercise caution when traveling through work zone areas and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
