UPDATE - REOPENED: I-49 north at MLK Drive, Caddo Parish


UPDATE: The interstate has been REOPENED.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that both lanes of I-49 northbound at the LA 3194 (Dr. Martin Luther King Drive) on-ramp in Shreveport, Caddo Parish are CLOSED following an incident involving an 18-wheeler carrying a large amount of fuel.

Emergency response services are on scene to safely remove the truck and its contents.

DOTD will advise when the interstate has been reopened.

Alternate route: US 71 (N. Market Street)

Restrictions/Permits: N/A
