SPEED ZONE MODIFICATIONS: LA 383 - Iowa - Calcasieu Parish

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists of a speed zone modification on LA 383 in Iowa, Calcasieu Parish. Modifications to the speed zone will be effective today, Wednesday, August 7.

The speed limit on LA 383 will be 35 MPH, beginning 0.2 miles north of the north service road and extending south to Railroad Avenue. The remaining portions of LA 383 from Railroad Avenue to US 90 will remain at 25 MPH.

Advanced warning signs will be placed to help warn motorist of the new speed zone location.

DOTD is working with local law enforcement agencies as this change goes into effect, and advises motorists to be aware of the changes and to drive with caution.
