EXTENDED I-10 Eastbound and the off ramp of I-10 Eastbound at LA 347 (Henderson/Cecilia), St. Martin Parish, Lane & Ramp Closure
Thursday, August 01, 2019 at 10:45:29 AM

UPDATE: Due to inclement weather, this closure has been extended to Thursday, August 1 at 8:00 p.m. until Friday, August 2 at 6:00 a.m. Thank you for your patience.

The outside lane of I-10 eastbound, just west of the intersection with LA 347, between mile markers 114.5 and 115 will be closed on Monday, July 29 at 8 p.m. until Tuesday, July 30 at 6 a.m., weather permitting.

Additionally, the off ramp of I-10 eastbound at LA 347 (Henderson/Cecilia) will be closed on Monday, July 29 at 8 p.m. until Tuesday, July 30 at 6 a.m., weather permitting.

The detour for eastbound traffic on I-10 wanting to travel to northbound or southbound LA 347 via Exit 115 – LA 347 (Henderson/Cecilia) will continue on I-10 eastbound to Exit 121 – LA 3177 (Butte La Rose) and then back on I-10 westbound toward Exit 115 – LA 347 (Henderson/Cecilia).

These closures are necessary to allow the contractor to construct the outside ramp and shoulders.

This work is related to the FASTLANE I-10 widening project (State Project Number H.003014). This $54.7 million project will involve pavement replacement within the existing lanes in each direction for 2.7 miles along I-10 from LA 347 to the base of the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge. An additional lane will be added in the westbound direction.

With the help of the FASTLANE grant, this is the second of three projects to reconstruct and widen the I-10 corridor from I-49 to the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge.

The project began in July 2017 and is estimated for completion in 2020.
