UPDATE: US 171 from MP 11 to MP 13 has REOPENED– Calcasieu/Beauregard Parish

UPDATE: The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that US 171 southbound has reopened from milepost 11 to 13, but HIGH WATER still remains on portions of the roadway.

US 171 from MP 11 to MP 21 – Calcasieu/Beauregard Parish

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that US 171 southbound remains CLOSED from milepost 11 to 13.

High water has receded US 171 northbound lanes from milepost 11 to milepost 21, and high water has receded US 171 southbound lanes from milepost 14 to milepost 21.
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that US 171 NB has REOPENED from milepost 5 to milepost 21, but HIGH WATER remains from milepost 11 to milepost 21.

US 171 SB remains CLOSED from milepost 11 to 13, and HIGH WATER remains from milepost 11 to milepost 21.


The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that Hwy 171 from LA 378 (milepost 5) to Ragley Overpass (milepost 21) is closed due to high water.

Motorists are encouraged to check the status of road conditions prior to beginning commutes to impacted areas by utilizing the following resources for the latest information regarding road conditions:
