LA 176 (Moss Street) northbound and southbound under the I-10 Overpass, Lafayette Parish, Road Closure

LA 176 (Moss Street) northbound and southbound under the I-10 Overpass in Lafayette Parish will be closed nightly beginning Monday, June 24, at 8 p.m. until Saturday, June 29 at 6:00 a.m., weather permitting.
This closure is necessary for bridge rail construction on the overpass.
The detour for LA 176 northbound traffic will be East Simcoe Street heading west to I-49/US 90/LA 167 North to East Gloria Switch Road and back to LA 176 northbound.
The detour for LA 176 southbound traffic will be East Gloria Switch Road heading west to I-49/US 90/LA 167 South to East Simcoe Street and back to LA 176 southbound.
Emergency vehicles will not have access to the area during the closure.
The $124.7 million I-10 widening project will involve widening a 7.11-mile section from I-49 to Breaux Bridge (State Project Number H.003003). The project will include pavement replacement within the existing lanes and the construction of one additional lane in each direction along I-10 from I-49 to LA 328 (Breaux Bridge).
The project began in May 2017 and is estimated for completion in fall 2019.
