DOTD announces an upcoming Highway Construction Project on LA 1161 from 1.25 Miles West of LA 29 to LA 29 in Evangeline Parish, SPN H.012981.6

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that beginning Monday, July 1, construction will begin on a $169,000 project on LA 1161 from 1.25 miles west of LA 29 to LA 29 in Evangeline Parish.
The work is estimated to take place Mondays through Fridays from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., weather permitting.
There will be intermittent and one lane closures throughout the project. The road will be open to regular traffic with a 12-foot maximum lane restriction on oversized loads passing through the work zone.
The project will include pavement patching, thin asphalt concrete overlay, rumble strips, and related work.
The project is estimated for completion in August 2019.
