LA 1 (IBERVILLE PARISH) - The roadway is now open in both directions on LA 1 near the Iberville Math, Science, & Arts Academy. (approx. 1.3 miles south of LA 75-Belleview Dr.)

LA 1 (IBERVILLE PARISH) An Emergency Road Closure is in place on LA 1. The Roadway is closed in both directions near Iberville Math, Science, & Arts Academy, due to high water. This is approximately 1.3 miles south of LA 75 (Belleview Dr.)
DOTD has a crew on site monitoring the water levels. A notification will be issued when the roadway is safe to be reopened.
Please travel with caution.
Alternates routes are available. Motorists should detour LA 1 to LA 405 then LA 69 back to LA 1 or LA 1 to LA 69 then LA 405 back to LA 1.

During unfavorable weather conditions, motorists should drive using the following safety tips:
• Drive slowly and carefully.
• Avoid driving into standing or running water.
• Avoid driving while distracted.
• Avoid using cruise control when visibility is low or road surfaces are wet.
• Always allow for extra driving time.
• Reduce speeds when visibility is low.
• Make sure there is plenty of room between vehicles.
• Avoid using highway overpasses as tornado shelters.
