UPDATE: THIS CLOSURE HAS BEEN CANCELED DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER.

LA 328 (Rees Street) northbound and southbound under the I-10 overpass will be closed on the following nights.

• Wednesday, June 5 at 8 p.m. until Thursday, June 6 at 6 a.m., weather permitting.

• Thursday, June 6 at 8 p.m. until Friday, June 7 at 6 a.m., weather permitting.

• Friday, June 7 at 8 p.m. until Saturday, June 8 at 6 a.m., weather permitting.

• Saturday, June 8 at 8 p.m. until Sunday, June 9 at 6 a.m., weather permitting.

This closure is necessary to allow the contractor to work on the LA 328 eastbound deck form installation.

The detour for LA 328 northbound traffic will be I-10 eastbound to LA 347 to I-10 westbound back to LA 328 northbound.

The detour for LA Avenue southbound traffic is I-10 westbound to LA Avenue to I-10 eastbound back to LA 328 southbound.

Emergency vehicles will not have access to the area during the closure.

The $124.7 million I-10 widening project will involve widening a 7.11-mile section from I-49 to Breaux Bridge (State Project Number H.003003). The project will include pavement replacement within the existing lanes and the construction of one additional lane in each direction along I-10 from I-49 to LA 328 (Breaux Bridge).

The project began in May 2017 and is estimated for completion in fall 2019.
