UPDATE: REOPENED LA 70 (ASSUMPTION PARISH) ROAD CLOSURE

Update: LA 70 is now open in both directions between LA 69 & LA 669 in Assumption Parish.

As of 8:00 AM, Saturday, May 25, 2019, LA 70 (ASSUMPTION PARISH) is closed.
LA 70 (ASSUMPTION PARISH) – LA 70 has been closed between LA 69 & LA 996 in Assumption Parish.
The closure is necessary to facilitate the installation of aqua dams to de-water LA 70. No vehicles will be allowed to pass.
Alternates routes are available. Motorists should detour:
LA 70 Westbound LA 996 to LA 69 back to LA 70.
LA 70 Eastbound LA 70 to LA 69 then right on LA 996 back to LA 70.
