Louisiana Avenue northbound under the Louisiana Avenue Overpass will be closed Wednesday, May 29, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., weather permitting.
This closure is necessary to allow the contractor to work on the Louisiana Avenue eastbound bridge deck form removal.
The detour for northbound traffic is I-10 eastbound to LA 328 (Rees Street) to I-10 westbound to Louisiana Avenue northbound.
Emergency vehicles will not have access to the area during the closure.

The $124.7 million I-10 widening project will involve widening a 7.11-mile section from I-49 to Breaux Bridge (State Project Number H.003003). The project will include pavement replacement within the existing lanes and the construction of one additional lane in each direction along I-10 from I-49 to La 328 (Breaux Bridge).
The project began in May 2017 and is estimated for completion in fall 2019.
