The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that, weather permitting, asphalt pavement patching work will begin on the LA 191 Asphaltic Surface Treatment Project on Thursday, May 23, 2019 and will continue for approximately (2) two months. This asphaltic surface treatment project is located on LA 191 from 0.65 miles north of its junction with Nelson Road to its junction with LA 476. This 7.407 mile long project will receive pavement patching, asphaltic surface treatment and related work.
The project was awarded to the low bidder, Brudd Construction Co., LLC in the amount of $625,479.63.
Permit/Detour section
There will be no restrictions for passenger vehicles and a 12’ wide lane width restriction for all oversize vehicles. The roadway will be reduced to one lane during construction. The roadway will be open to local and through traffic at all times.
