UPDATE ALL LANES REOPENED: Emergency Lane Closure / US 425 / Morehouse Parish
Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at 4:34:00 PM
UPDATE (5/15/19): All lanes of US 425 at the location listed below have been fully reopened to traffic.

*************************************************************************************

LANE CLOSURE
Effective immediately, US 425 in Morehouse Parish is restricted to only one lane of travel northbound and one lane of travel southbound at a location 2.5 miles north of the intersection of US 425 and LA 140, near Log Cabin. These lane closures are required due to rising flood waters overtopping the travel lanes. Once flood waters recede, the roadway will be assessed and will be returned to full traffic flow when deemed safe to do so.

DOTD reminds motorists to NEVER drive around ‘road closed’ barricades at any time for any reason. Also, remember to never drive through standing or running water.

PERMIT/DETOUR
With single lane traffic flow per direction, all traffic wider than 10-feet should be restricted.

SAFETY REMINDER
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
