UPDATE: THIS CLOSURE HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO INCLUDE WEDNESDAY, APRIL 24, FROM 7 A.M. TO 4 P.M., WEATHER PERMITTING.

The eastbound lane of LA 182 between Albertson Parkway and St. Etienne Road will be closed on Tuesday, April 23, from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m., weather permitting.

This closure is necessary to allow crews to install asphalt on the eastbound lane of LA 182.

Traffic wanting to access LA 182 from Albertson Parkway will be detoured to the Eastbound Frontage Road where access to LA 182 will be maintained at St. Etienne Road.

Westbound traffic on LA 182 will not be affected.

No lane restrictions are needed.

Emergency vehicles will NOT have access to the area.

As part of the Geaux South program, current work underway is related to the $57.1 million design-build project that involves widening US 90 to six-lanes from Albertson Parkway to north of the Ambassador Caffery intersection. The project will also construct an overpass along US 90 above Albertson Parkway, a new railroad overpass and modify the adjacent frontage roads. Work on the project is slated for completion in spring 2019.
