Monday, April 08, 2019 at 2:41:08 PM

Albertson Parkway under the US 90 overpass will be closed on Thursday, April 11 at 8 p.m. until Friday, April 12 at 6 a.m., weather permitting.

This closure is necessary to install pavement striping for the new lane configuration on Albertson Parkway.

Traffic exiting US 90 eastbound wanting to proceed east on St. Nazaire Road will be detoured to LA 182 to the westbound frontage road where access to St. Nazaire Road will be maintained.

Traffic on the westbound frontage road wanting to proceed west onto Albertson Parkway will be detoured to US 90 westbound to US 90 eastbound where access to Albertson Parkway will be maintained at Exit 115A – Albertson Parkway.

Traffic wanting to proceed west on St. Nazaire Road will be detoured to LA 96 to LA 182 to the westbound frontage road. The detour for the westbound frontage road will be in effect for traffic wanting to access Albertson Parkway.

Through traffic on the frontage roads across Albertson Parkway will be maintained throughout the closure.

No lane restrictions are needed.

Emergency vehicles will NOT have access to the area.

As part of the Geaux South program, current work underway is related to the $57.1 million design-build project that involves widening US 90 to six-lanes from Albertson Parkway to north of the Ambassador Caffery intersection. The project will also construct an overpass along US 90 above Albertson Parkway, a new railroad overpass and modify the adjacent frontage roads. Work on the project is slated for completion in spring 2019.
