UPDATE REOPENED: Emergency Road Closure / LA 585 / West Carroll Parish

UPDATE: LA 585, at the location described below, has been reopened to traffic. All repairs to the water line and roadway have been completed.

ROAD CLOSURE
Effective immediately, LA 585 in West Carroll Parish will be closed at a location 100 feet north of the intersection of LA 835 and LA 585, near the community of Concord. This closure is required due to a ruptured water line underneath the roadway. This water leak may have created voids in the roadway base material. Therefore, the road must be closed until the utility company can repair the leak and DOTD can investigate the roadway to make any warranted repairs. The roadway is anticipated to be back open to traffic by Monday, April 1, 2019.
PERMIT/DETOUR
The detour route will be LA 586, LA 17, and LA 585.
