Access from LA 182 (Main Street) eastbound to US 90 westbound Frontage Road will be closed on Monday, March 18 and Tuesday, March 19, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., weather permitting.
This closure is necessary to perform road construction on LA 182.
Traffic wanting to access the US 90 westbound Frontage Road from LA 182 eastbound will be detoured to LA 96 to St. Nazaire Road where access will be maintained.
LA 182 westbound traffic will not be affected.
No lane restrictions are needed.
Emergency vehicles will have access to the area.
As part of the Geaux South program, current work underway is related to the $57.1 million design-build project that involves widening US 90 to six-lanes from Albertson Parkway to north of the Ambassador Caffery intersection. The project will also construct an overpass along US 90 above Albertson Parkway, a new railroad overpass and modify the adjacent frontage roads. Work on the project is slated for completion in spring 2019.
