UPDATE - REOPENED: US 84 at US 371/US 71 in Coushatta, Red River Parish
UPDATE: US 84 eastbound and westbound at US 371/US 71 in Coushatta, Red River Parish has been REOPENED.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that, effective immediately, US 84 eastbound and westbound from its junction with US 371 (4-way stop at east end of Red River Bridge) to its junction with US 71 (south Y at the Conoco Station) in Coushatta, Red River Parish is closed due to a sewer line failure under the roadway.
This road closure will be in place until further notice while the Town of Coushatta makes repairs to the sewer line.
Alternate route: Total road closure. No official detour has been established.
Restrictions/Permits: N/A
This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
