I-10 westbound on ramp at LA 328 in Breaux Bridge will be closed on Wednesday, March 6 at 8 p.m. until Thursday, March 7 at 6 a.m., weather permitting.

This closure is necessary to allow crews to remove temporary barriers.

The detour for northbound traffic will be I-10 eastbound to Exit 115 - LA 347 (Cecilia/Henderson) to I-10 westbound and then back to Exit 109 - LA 328 or continue on I-10 westbound.

The detour for southbound traffic will be I-10 westbound to Exit 104 (Louisiana Avenue) to I-10 eastbound and then back to Exit 109 - LA 328 or continue on I-10 eastbound.

The $124.7 million I-10 widening project will involve widening a 7.11-mile section from I-49 to Breaux Bridge (State Project Number H.003003). The project will include pavement replacement within the existing lanes and the construction of one additional lane in each direction along I-10 from I-49 to LA 328 (Breaux Bridge).

The project began in May 2017 and is estimated for completion in fall 2019.
