UPDATE: THESE CLOSURES HAVE BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER.

I-10 eastbound from mile marker 104 to mile marker 109 will have nightly alternating lane closures on Thursday, March 7, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. and Friday, March 8, from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m., weather permitting.

Additionally, the right lane of I-10 eastbound from mile marker 104 to mile marker 109 will be closed nightly from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Saturday, March 9 and Sunday, March 10, weather permitting.

These closures are in preparation for the upcoming I-10 eastbound traffic switch from mile marker 104 to mile marker 109.

The $124.7 million I-10 widening project will involve widening a 7.11-mile section from I-49 to Breaux Bridge (State Project Number H.003003). The project will include pavement replacement within the existing lanes and the construction of one additional lane in each direction along I-10 from I-49 to LA 328 (Breaux Bridge).

The project began in May 2017 and is estimated for completion in fall 2019.
