Friday, February 08, 2019 at 8:01:45 AM
UPDATE: NOW OPEN!
Effective immediately, the left lane of I-10 westbound between mile marker 110 and mile marker 109 will be closed until further notice to make emergency repairs to the catch basins in the travel lane.

Emergency vehicles will not be able to pass through this lane closure due to having no shoulder on either side of the roadway.

Motorists should expect congestion and are advised to use an alternate route.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.

The $124.7 million I-10 widening project will involve widening a 7.11-mile section from I-49 to Breaux Bridge (State Project Number H.003003). The project will include pavement replacement within the existing lanes and the construction of one additional lane in each direction along I-10 from I-49 to LA 328 (Breaux Bridge).

The project began in May 2017 and is estimated for completion in fall 2019.
