LA 22 Eastbound Outside Lane Closure

Construction has begun for State Project H.011451, LA 22 Rehabilitation. This project consists of grading, drainage structures, class II base course, in-place slag stabilized blended BCS base course, milling asphalt pavement, pavement patching, asphalt concrete pavement, and related work for project length of 3.424 miles.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that the eastbound outside lane, between US 61 and the railroad tracks, will be closed Sunday-Friday (January 20th-January 25th). No oversized loads greater than 10’ wide will be allowed. The lane closure is necessary in order for the contractor to remove and replace existing damaged drainage structures. Barricades and appropriate signage will be present in order to direct traffic.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
