CLOSURE NOTICE
The west-bound closure of the Houma Twin Span Bridge which was scheduled for the weekend of January 19th & 20th has been rescheduled due to forecasted rain and freezing conditions.
The west-bound side of the Houma Twin Span Bridge (East Park Ave or LA 659) will now be closed to vehicular traffic for the weekend starting on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 6:00 AM until Monday, January 28, 2019 at 5:00 AM.
Alternate routes available for crossing the ICWW are:
LA 3087 (Prospect Overpass), LA 3040 (Houma Tunnel) and LA 315 (Dularge Bridge).
This closure to vehicular traffic is needed in order to allow LADOTD’s contractor to perform structural repair work to the existing expansion joint. Should the contractor finish work prior to listed time above, the west-bound lanes shall be opened early.
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
