LA 347 (Grand Point Highway) northbound & southbound, St. Martin Parish, Road Closure, SPN H.003014
Wednesday, January 09, 2019 at 9:24:36 AM
LA 347 (Grand Point Highway) northbound and southbound under the I-10 overpass in Henderson will be closed nightly beginning Monday, January 14, at 8:00 p.m. until Thursday, January 17 at 6:00 a.m., weather permitting.

This closure is necessary to allow the contractor to remove the I-10 concrete deck and to replace the steel girder over LA 347 (Grand Point Highway).

The northbound traffic along with the I-10 westbound traffic will be detoured to I-10 East to Butte La Rose and then back on I-10 West to either the LA 347 exit or continue on I-10 westbound.

The southbound traffic along with the I-10 eastbound traffic will be detoured to I-10 West to LA 328 (Rees Street) in Breaux Bridge and then back on I-10 East to either the LA 347 exit or continue on I-10 eastbound.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.

This work is related to the FASTLANE I-10 widening project (State Project Number H.003014). This $54.7 million project will involve pavement replacement within the existing lanes in each direction for 2.7 miles along I-10 from LA 347 to the base of the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge. An additional lane will be added in the westbound direction.

With the help of the FASTLANE grant, this is the second of three projects to reconstruct and widen the I-10 corridor from I-49 to the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge.

The project began in July 2017 and is estimated for completion in 2020.
