LANE CLOSURES: LA 1 at railroad tracks near Port of Caddo-Bossier, Caddo Parish
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that beginning Sunday, January 6, 2019, there will be lane closures and traffic switches on the northbound and southbound lanes of LA 1 between Francis Bickham Blvd. and Doug Attaway Blvd. near the Port of Caddo-Bossier in Caddo Parish. This is necessary for the replacement of the railroad tracks on LA 1 at this location.
Replacement of the tracks on the southbound lanes will begin first.
Additionally, both intersections of LA 1 and Harts Island Road will be closed while the southbound tracks are replaced. Motorists may access LA 1 via LA 175.
The track repairs are scheduled to last approximately three (3) weeks, weather permitting.
Alternate route: N/A
Restrictions/Permits: No oversized loads will be permitted through the construction zone.
This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
