CANCELLED - I-10 eastbound at the foot of the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge (mile marker 118), St. Martin Parish, Rolling Road Block
Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 10:26:31 AM

UPDATE: This closure has been cancelled.

Beginning Tuesday, December 18 at 8 p.m., both lanes of I-10 eastbound will have intermittent rolling road blocks at the foot of the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge (mile marker 118) for roadway striping repairs. This work is expected to last until 6 a.m. on Wednesday, December 19, weather permitting.

This work is related to the FASTLANE I-10 widening project (State Project Number H.003014). This $54.7 million project will involve pavement replacement within the existing lanes in each direction for 2.7 miles along I-10 from LA 347 to the base of the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge. An additional lane will be added in the westbound direction.

With the help of the FASTLANE grant, this is the second of three projects to reconstruct and widen the I-10 corridor from I-49 to the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge.

The project began in July 2017 and is estimated for completion in 2020.
