UPDATE: The scheduled work on LA 27 at MP 69.5 (approximately 2.2 miles south of Ellender Bridge) is complete. The lane closures are finished and motorist may now travel those lanes.

UPDATE: LA 27 LANE CLOSURE AT MP 69.5 – HACKBERRY – CAMERON PARISH

Due to inclement weather over the past two weeks, the lane closures have been extended through Friday, January 18, 2019.

Beginning Monday, December 10, 2018, thru Sunday, January 6, 2019, there will be alternating lane closures on LA 27, at MP 69.5 (approximately 2.2 miles south of Ellender Bridge), in Hackberry. The closures will take place daily, between 6:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

During closure times, a clear roadway width of 24 feet (two 12-foot travel lanes) will remain, and two-way traffic will be maintained in both directions via the use of flagmen.

The closure is necessary for the completion of roadway improvements along LA 27.

Motorists can expect delays through the work zone during this period. DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to be on the lookout for work crews and equipment.
