Causey Road/Merritt Evans/LA 933 at LA 44 Intermittent Lane Closures/Flagging Operation

Construction has begun for State Project H.009956 LA 44: Turn Lanes is in Ascension Parish for a length of 1.235 miles. The type of work is clearing and grubbing, grading, drainage structures, milling asphalt pavement, pavement patching, class II base course, lime treatment, portland cement concrete pavement, asphalt concrete pavement, drilled shaft foundations, traffic signalization, and related work at a cost of $3,501,304.95.
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that there will be intermittent lane closures on Monday (December 10th) thru Friday (December 14th). The closures will be on Causey Road and Merritt Evans Road at the intersection of LA 44 as well as on LA 933 at the intersection of LA 44.
These closures are necessary in order for the contractor to mill and pave the roadway. The closures will take place between 9 am and 2 pm. Flaggers and appropriate signage will be present in order to direct traffic during the closures.
