LA 44 Southbound Right Lane Closure

Construction has begun for State Project H.009956 LA 44: Turn Lanes is in Ascension Parish for a length of 1.235 miles. The type of work is clearing and grubbing, grading, drainage structures, milling asphalt pavement, pavement patching, class II base course, lime treatment, portland cement concrete pavement, asphalt concrete pavement, drilled shaft foundations, traffic signalization, and related work at a cost of $3,501,304.95.
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that there will be a lane closure on Thursday, December 6th, on LA 44 at the intersection of LA 621. This closure will include the southbound outside right lane on LA 44 and will take place between 9 am and 2 pm.
Flaggers and appropriate signage will be present in order to direct traffic during the closures.
This closure is needed in order to install new signal foundations for this intersection.
