I-10 WB from mm 115 (LA 347 overpass) to mm 114 (Melvin Dupuis overpass), St. Martin Parish, Lane & Shoulder Closure
Wednesday, December 05, 2018 at 9:27:40 AM
UPDATE: This closure has been extended to include the night of Thursday, December 6 at 8 p.m. until Friday, December 7 at 6 a.m., weather permitting.
The inside lane and shoulder of I-10 westbound from mile marker 115 (LA 347 overpass) to mile marker 114 (Melvin Dupuis overpass) will be closed nightly beginning Monday, December 3 until Thursday, December 6, from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. weather permitting.

This closure is necessary to allow the contractor to place asphalt to tie the newly constructed asphalt roadway into the existing concrete interstate roadway.

This work is related to the FASTLANE I-10 widening project (State Project Number H.003014). This $54.7 million project will involve pavement replacement within the existing lanes in each direction for 2.7 miles along I-10 from LA 347 to the base of the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge. An additional lane will be added in the westbound direction.

With the help of the FASTLANE grant, this is the second of three projects to reconstruct and widen the I-10 corridor from I-49 to the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge.

The project began in July 2017 and is estimated for completion in 2020.
