LA 456 Lamourie; Rapides Parish
Mile Post 5.785; Control Section 840-07
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises the public that LA 456, Lamourie, Rapides Parish, will be closed between Lamourie and Lecompte. The work is being done at milepost 5.785 and is on control section 840-07. The closure will be Tuesday, December 18, 2018 from 7:00 AM with a reopening on Friday, December 21, 2018 at 6:00 PM. The closure is for a crane to be unloaded for the replacement of a bridge on Union Pacific Railroad.
Permit/Detour Section
The roadway will be closed completely to all traffic during this time.
Detour Route
The detour will be LA 456 to LA 470 to US 71 to LA 112 to LA 456. The detour can accept oversized loads and will be identified with proper markings for the general public. All emergency agencies will be notified of the road closure.
