**Update: LA 44 at Causey Road/Merritt Evans/LA 933 Intermittent Lane Closures/Flagging Operation

**Due to the recognition of Veteran's Day, the below lane closure is rescheduled for Monday, 11-19-13.
Construction has begun for State Project H.009956 LA 44: Turn Lanes is in Ascension Parish for a length of 1.235 miles. The type of work is clearing and grubbing, grading, drainage structures, milling asphalt pavement, pavement patching, class II base course, lime treatment, portland cement concrete pavement, asphalt concrete pavement, drilled shaft foundations, traffic signalization, and related work at a cost of $3,501,304.95.
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that there will be intermittent lane closures on Monday, November 19th, on LA 44 at Causey Road and LA 933.
These closures are necessary in order for the contractor to switch to the new traffic signals. The closures will take place between 9 am and 2 pm. Flaggers will be present in order to direct traffic during the closures.
