The Regional Planning Commission invites citizens to attend a Public Hearing including a community open house, on the proposed replacement of the Belle Chasse Tunnel and Bridge.
Date/Time: Wednesday, November 28, 2018
5:00 to 8:00 pm

Location: Belle Chasse Auditorium
8398 LA Highway 23, Belle Chasse, LA

The public can attend any time between 5:00 and 8:00 pm to view information, ask questions and offer comments. A formal presentation will occur at 6 pm during which formal comments will be taken from the public. The information available at this Hearing will acquaint the public with the project and updates since the last public meeting occurred on July 10, 2018 as well as outline the preferred alternative. The preferred alternative under consideration is a new 4-lane, 73-foot fixed bridge over the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway (GIWW). The replacement also includes a pedestrian sidewalk and bicycle lane.
Copies of the draft environmental assessment, posted at the following locations to allow for public view, will remain available through the close of comments following the Public Hearing during normal hours and days of operation:
