LA 44 Outside Lane Closures at LA 935

**Update: Due to weather, the lane closure below extends to Tuesday (November 6th) and Wednesday (November 7th).

Construction has begun for State Project H.009956 LA 44: Turn Lanes is in Ascension Parish for a length of 1.235 miles. The type of work is clearing and grubbing, grading, drainage structures, milling asphalt pavement, pavement patching, class II base course, lime treatment, portland cement concrete pavement, asphalt concrete pavement, drilled shaft foundations, traffic signalization, and related work at a cost of $3,501,304.95.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that there will be outside lane closures on LA 44 at the intersection of LA 935 for the between Wednesday (October 31st) and Friday (November 2nd).

These closures are necessary in order for the contractor to install new signal mast arms at the intersection. The closures will take place between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm and thru traffic will be allowed on LA 44 and LA 935 in all other open lanes with the exception of stopping traffic temporarily while the signal mast arms are put in place, estimating to take approximately 2-5 minutes.
