LA 931 at LA 44: Intermittent Lane Closures

Construction has begun for State Project H.009956 LA 44: Turn Lanes is in Ascension Parish for a length of 1.235 miles. The type of work is clearing and grubbing, grading, drainage structures, milling asphalt pavement, pavement patching, class II base course, lime treatment, portland cement concrete pavement, asphalt concrete pavement, drilled shaft foundations, traffic signalization, and related work at a cost of $3,501,304.95.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that there will be intermittent lane closures on LA 931 at the intersection of LA 44 for the between Tuesday (November 6th) and Thursday (November 8th).

These closures are necessary in order for the contractor to continue preparing and installing new signal mast arms at the intersection with LA 44. The closures will take place between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm and will be signed appropriately to inform motorists in advance. Vehicles will not be permitted to turn onto LA 931, from LA 44, nor will vehicles be able to continue straight from Germany to LA 931. Flaggers will be stopping vehicles on LA 931, approaching LA 44, while mast arms are actually being installed.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
