I-10/Loyola Interchange Improvement
Environmental Assessment

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD) authorized an Environmental Assessment for the I-10/Loyola Interchange Improvement. This project will evaluate alternatives to improve operational conditions and to increase the capacity of this interchange. The purpose of this Public Hearing is present the preferred alternative. The preferred alternative includes flyover ramps providing direct access to/from the new MSY terminal as well as a flyover ramp providing direct access from southbound Loyola Dr to I-10 eastbound. The acquisition of Right of Way and project schedule will also be discussed at the hearing. The LADOTD encourages the public to attend a Public Hearing at the following time and place:

Interested persons may attend the hearing at any time between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm. There will be a continuous powerpoint presentation about the project, maps, handouts and displays with pertinent information. Representatives from LADOTD, FHWA, and the consultant team will be present to receive comments and discuss issues. Comments may be submitted at the hearing by recording verbal statements or by submitting written statements. Written statements can also be e-mailed or mailed to the address shown below. Mailed responses must be postmarked within 10 calendar days following the hearing.

The EA will also be available at the DOTD District office (1440 US-90, Bridge City, LA) for viewing and purchase and on the environmental website : Environmental Assessment
