LA 931 and Germany Road at LA 44: Intermittent Lane Closures

Construction has begun for State Project H.009956 LA 44: Turn Lanes is in Ascension Parish for a length of 1.235 miles. The type of work is clearing and grubbing, grading, drainage structures, milling asphalt pavement, pavement patching, class II base course, lime treatment, portland cement concrete pavement, asphalt concrete pavement, drilled shaft foundations, traffic signalization, and related work at a cost of $3,501,304.95.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that there will be intermittent lane closures on LA 931 and Germany Road at the intersection of LA 44 for the following days: Thursday (October 18th), Friday (October 19th) and Monday (October 22nd).

These closures are necessary in order for the contractor to install new signal mast arms at the intersection with LA 44. The closures will take place between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm and thru traffic will be allowed on LA 44 with the exception of stopping traffic temporarily while the signal mast arms are put in place, estimating to take approximately 2-5 minutes.
