The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises the public that due to adverse weather conditions affecting ongoing construction, LA 488 from the intersection of LA 112 to the intersection of Terrell Road will be immediately closed except for local traffic. The closure is expected to last until current weather conditions improve and construction can resume.
Permit/Detour section
Eastbound Detour:
Eastbound traffic will detour onto LA 112 then travel north on LA 121, then travel east on LA 28, and then south on LA 1243 (McKeithen Drive) back onto LA 488.
Westbound Detour:
Westbound traffic will detour off of LA 488 onto LA 1243 (McKeithen Drive), then travel west on LA 28, then travel south on LA 121, and then travel east on LA 112.
