The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises the public that on Monday, October 15, 2018 construction will begin on the above referenced project. Through traffic will be maintained at all times during the initial stage of construction. Updates will follow regarding the detouring of LA 623 traffic prior to beginning stage 2 of the project.
The project will consist of adding turn lanes at the intersection of LA 3225 and LA 623 in Tioga. Associated work includes clearing and grubbing, class II base course, drainage structures, milling asphalt pavement, portland cement concrete pavement, loop detectors, and related work.
This contract was awarded to TL Construction, LLC at a cost of $1,256,484.54. This project is expected to be completed in 80 calendar days with exceptions for inclement weather.
Permit/Detour section
Two lanes of travel will be open at all times with oversize and emergency vehicles allowed passage.
