UPDATE - INTERSTATE CLOSURE: I-220 in Caddo Parish


UPDATE: Due to inclement weather, the closures for I-220 in Caddo Parish have been adjusted. I-220 eastbound from US 71 (N. Market St.) to LA 173 (Hilry Huckaby III Ave.) will be closed tonight, Wednesday, September 12, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 13, 2018.

I-220 westbound from US 71 to LA 173 will be closed nightly beginning Thursday, September 13, 2018 until Sunday, September 16, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. each night.

These closures are necessary for the removal of barrier rail and to complete roadway striping on the newly constructed westbound lanes of I-220 as part of the I-49 Segment K2 project that is currently under construction in Shreveport.

ORIGINAL NOTIFICATION:

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that beginning Thursday, September 6, 2018, I-220 westbound from US 71 (N. Market St.) to LA 173 (Hilry Huckaby III Ave.) in Caddo Parish will be closed.

Additionally, I-49 southbound at N. Market Street will be closed.

These closures are scheduled to take place from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. every night from Thursday, September 6, 2018 to Friday, September 14, 2018.

These closures are necessary for the removal of barrier rail and to complete roadway striping on the newly constructed westbound lanes of I-220 as part of the I-49 Segment K2 project that is currently under construction in Shreveport.
